I've never really had a "big picture" view of the world. I just can't seem to see past the trees and into the forest. And because I tend to see parts as wholes unto themsleves, my photography represents an abstract view of a world that is often overlooked.
One of the things that appeals to me artistically, is the visual effect of time on inanimate objects. It stirs my emotions. The natural decomposition of things frequently sprouts newborn beauty, and one of my goals as an artist is to try to capture this wonderful evolution through the eye of a lens.
Unusual pairings of texture and color also attract my attention. The identities of the objects that possess these traits are often of only minor interest to me. What is important to me, is that all parts of a photograph work together to produce an intriguing and emotional piece--one that will silently stand out in a crowd.
